The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) is the fourth armed force of the India. It was formally established on 18th August 1978 as an armed force of the Union by the Coast Guard Act, 1978. The ICG operates under the Ministry of Defence and its mission is the protection of India’s maritime interests and enforcement of maritime law with jurisdiction over the territorial waters of India,including contiguous zone & exclusive economic zone.

The Coast Guard works in close cooperation with the Indian Navy, Department of Fisheries, Department of Revenue (Customs) and the Central and State police forces.

The Indian Coast Gaurd invites open application from male Indian Nationals for the post of Yantriks.

The candidates should have passed Matriculate and should have three years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering with 60% marks in aggregate.

The candidate’s age limit should be between18-22 years, born between 01 August 1992 and 31 July 1996. (The age relation for for SC/ST candidates is 5 years and 3 years for OBC candidates)
